Nhóm nghiên cứu Vật liệu Quang xúc tác tập trung nghiên cứu chế tạo một số vật liệu nano như TiO2, ZnO, SnO2 và các tổ hợp vật liệu với nano kim loại và ôxít kim loại.Hướng ứng dụng chính bao gồm: Các nghiên cứu cho phản ứng quang xúc tác phân hủy chất màu; xử lý khí ô nhiễm và phản ứng tách nước sinh khí hydro
